***Concessions sign up.  This is something I could really use your help with.   We host 4 meets this year at Stratford.   Concessions goes a long way to helping provide new equipment, uniforms, and other items the team needs.  Sign up in Quick Links.   As they say, "it takes a village".  All of us helping out for the concession stands greatly impacts and helps the kids and the running program.  We need your help!

ALL items below can be found in the "quick links" section.  These will take you to each section for the information.

  1. Registration for Track and Field.  Please make sure you are signed up and registered for Track and Field on the school’s website.

  2. Physical forms.  Please make sure your physical is up to date and in the system with the school.  If you are not sure, ask, and we will figure out what you need. (see the registration link for more details)

  3. Practices.  First day of practice is March 4, 2023.  Plan to be outside EVERY DAY.  This means you will want to have a hoodie, sweats, and other attire to keep you warm at each practice.  Practices will run from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. (Finish times will vary based on the training day, we could be done earlier).    There may be some weekend practices based on our meet schedule as it has been in prior years.  There may also be days off during the season.  I'll communicate those changes via REMIND.  Sprinters, always have your sprint spikes ready to go each day.

  4. Shoes.  There are different types of shoes for distance running, sprinting, jumping, throwing, etc.  If you are unsure what types of shoes your athlete should have, please contact me, and we can discuss it.  Be ready with shoes on day one, as we could be outside.

  5. The season runs from March 4th to June 2th.  The state track meet is Friday June 1th and Saturday June 2th.  Location:  LaCrosse, WI.

  6. Donations for drinks:  Additionally we are also asking for donations for drinks as we have done in the past.  Book your hotels and make plans early for the State meet as things fill up very fast.

  7. Apparel.   We have 2024 Stratford Track and Field apparel!   Great new design for this year, check it out!

  8. Meet schedule.  There are a  few meets this year, including an Indoor "state" meet at Whitewater College.  more details to follow as we get closer.

  9. Pre-Season Speed Training (open to anyone).  This is open to anyone wanting to get faster!  Every Monday and Wednesday.  6:45am to 7:15am.  Times are being recorded and published.

  10. In Season Speed training.  Once we are in season, we will be timing, ranking and publishing all results.

Code of conduct- Action needed
As coaches we got together and discussed that we want to be a team in words and actions. We are asking that you as parents and athletes read the attached document, sign it, and bring it to practice.
As a team we need to be there together. We will be taking attendance daily. You will see in the code of conduct that there is an un-excused absence portion. We are taking this seriously and we ask that you do as well.  We cannot get better if we are not at practice and taking it seriously.  I am asking you to commit to the team and trust us as coaches to help you get to where you want to go.
